Collide’s 2022 project with the Sydney Football Stadium saw us collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver a culturally significant and technically complex public artwork. Working closely with the client, we ensured the project aligned with their vision of transforming the stadium into a vibrant Sports and Community Precinct that celebrates Indigenous culture, sports leadership, and environmental sustainability. We collaborated with celebrated artist Dennis Golding to translate his intricate designs into scalable, site-specific forms that integrated seamlessly with the stadium’s curved architectural surfaces.

Throughout the process, we engaged with consultants and engineers to address structural and safety considerations, ensuring the materials and methods used were durable, weather-resistant, and suitable for large-scale application. Our partnership with fabricators enabled us to realise the artwork with precision, maintaining fidelity to the artist’s vision while adhering to technical specifications.

During installation, we worked in tandem with the stadium’s construction and landscaping contractors, managing timelines, logistics, and the unique challenges of applying the artwork to complex curved surfaces.
