Weather Vane is a kinetic digital sculpture formed entirely of holographic light which moves and reacts in reaction to weather data. In response to White Night’s return to Geelong, artist Joel Zika and Collide devised a unique artistic intervention which connects the built/technological world with the natural forces that surround it.

The work takes the form of a giant light sculpture, appearing to float in thin air, heaving and spinning with the wind. In the spirit of the festival, this large playful illusionistic work exists untethered from the infrastructure of the city.
