The Sydney Football Stadium commission proposed a large-scale public art surface by Dennis Golding that transforms the site into a culturally vibrant experience as the Sports and Community Precinct. The proposed concept explores the memory of both culture and the landscape through storylines of contemporary life and history.

From here we grow showcases an original design depicting patterns, pathways and cultural motifs that form the shapes into human and non-human figures. Figures of a hand, foot, sports balls and Xanthorrhoea (grass plant) have been illustrated within the formation of land pathways, sea currents, river streams and waterholes to be key demonstrations of growth and sustainability.

The curved patterns wrap and swirl between the architectural structures of fitness and planted trees which are specific to themes in highlighting new generations of Indigenous sports leadership, and beginnings of plant and tree growth for land and water sustainability.
